The City of Poznań holds shares and stocks in 21 commercial companies and partnerships, 4 housing cooperatives and 1 social cooperative.
Nominal value of shares/stocks held by the City of Poznań
The nominal value of the shares/stocks held by the City of Poznań in the companies with the City’s shareholding at the end of 2017 was nearly PLN 1.8 billion, including the shares of the City of Poznań in:
- sole proprietorships reached the value of PLN 643 million (36% of the total nominal value of the shares)
- other companies – PLN 1.1 billion (64% of the total nominal value of shares).
The City held the largest shares in sole proprietorships in:
- Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne w Poznaniu Sp. z o.o. (PLN 362.7 million)
- Zarząd Komunalnych Zasobów Lokalowych sp. z o.o. (PLN 101.3 million)
- Wielkopolskie Centrum Wspierania Inwestycji Sp. z o.o. (PLN 79.7 million).
In the group of other companies with the City’s shareholding, the highest nominal value of shares concerned:
- Aquanet SA (PLN 867.7 million)
- Port Lotniczy Poznań-Ławica Sp. z o.o. (PLN 107.4 million).
Changes in companies
In 2017, as a result of liquidation of Zakład Naprawy Autobusów Sp. z o.o., the City of Poznań became a partner in Modertrans Poznań Sp. z o.o. and the owner of 4,530 shares in the company (the City’s share in the share capital amounts to 15.8%). The company is active in the design, production, major repairs, post-accident and modernization of trams, as well as major and post-accident repairs of city buses. An important branch of the Company’s activity is the production of tram bogies and special bogies for various types of rail vehicles.
Moreover, due to the lack of business activity and justification for continued existence, Wielkopolski Rynek Hurtowy MRS Sp. z o.o. was put into liquidation.
In 2017, activities were also carried out aimed at disclosing in the books of the City of Poznań the ownership by the City of shares in “Naol” Sp. z o.o., acquired by the City by way of a statutory inheritance of a deceased person, which resulted in the City becoming the owner of the aforementioned shares. Due to the lack of activity of “Naol” Sp. z o.o. and the lack of established bodies of the Company, the District Court for Poznań – Nowe Miasto and Wilda in Poznań was asked to initiate an ex officio procedure of the Company’s dissolution without conducting liquidation proceedings.
Housing cooperatives
The nominal value of the share of the City of Poznań in cooperatives has not changed as compared to 2016 and amounted to PLN 13.7 thousand.

In addition, in 2017, resolutions were adopted on increasing the share capital of the following companies:

- Poznańskie Towarzystwo Budownictwa Społecznego Sp. z o.o. – PLN 11.8 million
- Targowiska Sp. z o.o. – over PLN 0.5 million
- Zarząd Komunalnych Zasobów Lokalowych Sp. z o.o. – PLN 18 millionWielkopolskie Centrum Wspierania Inwestycji sp. z o.o. – PLN 1.3 million
- Aquanet SA – PLN 7.3 million
- Zakład Zagospodarowania Odpadów w Poznaniu Sp. z o.o. – PLN 1.9 million
Dividend
In 2017, the companies paid dividends to the City of Poznań in the total amount of PLN 4.6 million, including Remondis Sanitech Poznań Sp. z o.o. – PLN 3,968 thousand and MTP Sp. z o.o. – PLN 630 thousand.
