In 2017, the City of Poznań implemented the “Municipal Anti-drug Programme in Poznań for 2015-2017” and “Municipal Programme of Prevention and Solving Drinking Problems in Poznań for 2017.”

“Municipal Anti-drug Programme in Poznań for 2015-2017”

In 2017, the following were implemented as part of the “Municipal Anti-drug Programme in Poznań for 2015-2017:”

  • addiction prevention and social skills development project coordinated by the Poznań City Hall,
  • programmes and projects implemented by the Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres:
    • project for counteracting and limiting drug addiction, and criminality and demoralisation of minors “School free from drugs and violence” coordinated by the Poznań City Council,
    • early intervention programme “FreD goes net.”

“Municipal Programme of Prevention and Solving Drinking Problems in Poznań for 2017”

The most important tasks carried out in 2017 as part of the “Municipal Programme for Prevention and Solving Drinking Problems in Poznań for 2017” included:

  • commissioning a non-governmental organisation to run a 24-hour Centre for Intoxicated People,
  • activities integrating psycho-prevention with sports activities for children and youth coordinated by the Poznań City Hall,
  • support for the activity of the Centre for Treatment of the Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome and the Outpatient Addiction Treatment Clinic of F. Raszeja Municipal Hospital ,
  • “Sports Youth – Sober Future” project implemented by the Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres,
  • co-financing of:
    • activities of 3 Centres of Social Integration,
    • “Specialist Support Programme” implemented by the Municipal Centre for Family Assistance,
  • financing:
    • activities of the Municipal Board on Drinking Problems in Poznań,
    • programmes supporting preventive and educational activities against addictions,
    • radio broadcasts on addiction on Rock Radio and Radio Poznań.

The EU project “BaltCityPrevention – Baltic Cities tackle lifestyle-related diseases in the area of public health in the Baltic Sea Region,” aimed at the prevention of alcohol addiction among young people, was also implemented.

Seminar “When to say NO? – in the maze of contemporary addictions” took place in the building of the Poznań City Hall. 52 people, mainly representatives of day support centres, attended the event.

The 18th National Scientific and Training Conference “Contemporary faces of alcohol, drugs and tobacco” in the series “Tobacco and health” took place in the building of the Poznań City Hall. The organisers of the event were the City of Poznań and the Community Research Laboratory, Department of Toxicology, K. Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań.
